Khao Lak

Khao Lak Beach is the most famous and beautiful located on Takua Pa district in the Phang Nga province, Southern Thailand's azure Andaman coastline. The beach is stretch of pristine sand attractively studded with sandstone boulders. Because of wonderful and quiet nature, Khao Lak become perfect place for relax and peaceful for visitors for perfect holidays before depart to Similan or Surin Islands since Similan Islands is not far away from the offshore, the group of 9 islands has been declared to national park with is most un spoilt and fantastic coral reefs. The granite islands have beautiful chalky-white sand and tropical jungle. In addition, Kaao Lak also consist of several attraction places for instance

Khao Sok National Park. A visit to Khao Sok National Park will allow activities including jungle trekking on foot or elephant, visiting waterfalls & river rafting/canoeing. Around one hour drive north east from Khao Lak. A good day out, although accommodation is available for extended visits.

Lampi Waterfall. About 30 minutes south of Khao Lak just off highway 4. A very nice waterfall, best viewed in the early morning as the sun rises from behind the mountains and the rays shine through the mist. The falls are only a short walk from the car park, making access easy for all.

Visit Khao Lak

From the bus station in Phuket, take a bus towards Takua Pa, Ranong or Surat Thani. It will set you back about 50 . From Krabi there's a daily minibus to Khao Lak. All travel agents in Krabi sell tickets.

Ao Phang Nga National Park

Ao Phang Nga National Park has beautiful landscape with consist more than 40 islands. It is full scenery of limestone cliffs and clean green water. The island located in the east of Phuket and the national park has various well known attraction places as ;

Khao Ping-Gan with name mean from one huge rock split in two and the smaller half has slid down and the remaining one appears now to be leaning.

 

 

Not far from Khao Ping-Gan is a limestone rock which about 20 metres high name Khao Tapoo or James Bond Island because the Hollywood films ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ was starred here. Tourist love to spend time for kayaking or yachting since of the water here is a few meters deep and beautiful green in color.

 

 

Hong Hong means room, and entering this hollowed out island by boat is much like floating through a giant reception hall with two doors.

Tham Lod Grotto This cave in Takua Thung has beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. The long tail boat can go through another side of the cave.

Panyee Island (Koh Panyee) This Island is a place where a Muslim fishermen village built on., whose unique culture has existed, cut off from the mainland and most modern amenities

Visit Ao Phang Nga National Park
There are many places where boats can be rented to travel Phang Nga Bay:
Tha Dan Sullakakorn Pier (Customs Pier):
near Phang-Nga Bay Resort. Boats from small to large including ones suitable for group tours can be rented.
Surakoon (or Ka Sohm) Pier :
lies in Takua Thung. Here you will find long-tail boats seating about 6 persons each.
The pier in the area of National Park :
has long-tails holding up to eight persons each. It takes about three hours to view Phang-Nga Bay.

Similan Islands National Park

Similan is located in Tambon Ko Phra Thong, Khura Buri and has been protected under Thai law The National Park Authority in 1982 thus it can be said that Similan Island is one of the most beautiful national park in Thailand. Similan is Yawi or Malay word which mean q nine group of islands. These nine islands stretch from north to south of Andaman sea as Ko Bon, Ko Bayu, Ko Similan, Ko Payu, Ko Miang (two adjoining islands), Ko Payan, Ko Payang, and Ko Huyong. Similan is weel known for under water activities snorkeling or scuba-diving which plenty of coral reefs, stony sea floors, and rock reefs are interesting experience for visitors.

- Off season from May 16 to November 15 of each year.
- Open season from November 16 to May 15 of each year.

Visit Similan Islands National Park

From visitors can hire boat from Thap Lamu pier, Phang Nga province to Ko Miang one of the island in Similan Islands National Park. Distance is approximately 40 km trip takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.

Surin Islands National Park

Surin Islands has been declared 1981 to be National Park by National Marine Park on July 1981 which consists of 5 islands North Surin, South Surin, Ri, Khai, Klang Islands. It is situated on the Andaman Sea, closed to Thai-Burmese sea border, to the west coast of the Kingdom of Thailand. The best activities are scuba-diving and snorkeling, cause the under water world marine lives are very dramatic hard to describe and the sea water condition is quite suitable for sea sporting: snorkeling and scuba-diving. Fortunately, there are two largest islands, namely North Surin and South Surin Islands. It is very great trip to take a walk on North Surin Island to explore the nature trails and experience the sea-gypsies live on South Surin Island.

Visit Surin Islands National Park

Located about 90 km Northwest of Khao Lak and 40 km west of Kuraburi which tourist can hire boat from there. It is best to stay in Khao Lak as Kuraburi has very little in the way of tourists infrastructure.
