Ranong (ระนอง)

 

Ranog is located on the coastal of the Andaman Sea and about 570 km from Bangkok. The geography of the province shared border with Myanmar and has narrow shape stretch from north to south. The longest is about 25 km and 169 km in wide as the narrowest is only 9 km. In addition, Ranong contains various natural attractions from a mountainous and heavily forest, long beautiful sandy beaches, 62 islands, famous hot springs and unspoiled mangrove forests.

North - Borders to Chumphon and Myanmar.
South- Borders to Surat Thani and Phang Nga.
East- Borders to Chumphon.
West - Borders Ko Song (Myanmar) and Indian Ocean.

 

Travel to Ranong

By train. There are no Train service from Bangkok to Ranong. However, Visitors can use train from Hua Lamphong Station to Chumphon train station spends time from 6.50 hr- 9.12 hr depend on type of train and transfer from Chumphon to Ranong by van. On arrival at Chumphon train station, visitors need to take bus to Chumphon- Ranong van station which is not far from train station. The first van depart from 06.00 am and last van is 17.00 pm.
